MasterCard Europe MIF arrangement
1 April 2009 – EU payment card issuers will experience conflicting emotions as a result of MasterCard Europe’s interim MIF arrangement with the EC. The arrangement, reached on 1 April 2009, could cost the EU issuing industry €2.6 billion in lost interchange revenues if applied domestically.
